Lutz Maicher ist seit Mai 2011 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Fraunhofer MOEZ. Seit April 2014 hat Lutz Maicher die Juniorprofessur Technologietransfer an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität in Jena inne.

My main research interest is Topic Maps, which is a semantic technology for integrating heterogeneous data at the domain level. As ISO 13250, Topic Maps is an international industry standard. The big hit of the Topic Maps approach is, that it is equally well suited for easily creating domain specific web portals and other highly interlinked interfaces. Bringing both together, the integration and the portal edges, is the main focus of the Topic Maps Lab I founded and lead here at University of Leipzig in 2008.
